Great news for PPC Pilots

Great news powered parachute Pilots! I was on the phone this morning with Jonathan the owner of APCO Aviation. He told me that they are just about done research and development on a new Cruiser for narrow attachment points. They will be available in the very near future. 1. I’d like to see a cruiser or any other APCO wing in a size suitable for Part 103 PPCs. They say their Lift 400 is, but the 200 kg (441 lb) minimum gross weight means most legal Part 103 machines would be right at that minimum with a 187 lb pilot. I already fly a 400 sq ft rectangular chute, and the light wing loading makes it pretty bouncy much of the time, so I’m not confident I would see an improvement with a 420 sq ft (371 projected sq ft) chute. And I have not yet read of anyone actually using a Lift 400 on a Part 103 machine.
